La figura del gallo de Barcelos tiene su origen en una interesante leyenda popular que sit\u00faa a Barcelos en la \u00e9poca medieval y que narra la historia de un peregrino que se dirig\u00eda a Santiago de Compostela y que se salv\u00f3 milagrosamente de la horca, gracias a Santiago, cuando se oy\u00f3 de forma sorprendente el canto de un gallo.
